FAVE ON THE ORIGINAL WORK PLEASE...

I’m young, only in my twentieth year
But I know Love
I know Love and all of its worth

In all of its elegance and spontaneity
Sharp edges
It’s Fine and smooth surfaces
In all of its grace and purity
Piercing thrones on red roses
It’s Cultivated and arcane emotions

It is a rough unadulterated being with innocence
Yet tainted by experience—once experienced
Tainted by the eyes and voices of my peers
By the parents who know best, but failed themselves
By television and its false pretenses
By the brainwashing of society

But I
Know Love….

It entered my frail being that Wednesday evening like lightning from those gray skies
Cotton clouds weaved with sadness, leaking and releasing my sorrows in delicate translucent drops
Love crowded my lungs
Breathing into my lifeless organs
With inhaled exhales
Filling my bronchi and diffusing into my capillaries
Simultaneously setting my heart ablaze, now burning forever with passion
I was shocked alive
Made anew

Life is now forever Spring
When Love massaged its way inside me
With the tips of Your fingers,
And the lick of Your tongue
It kissed my lips that were once taken for granted
And whispered in my ear like the enchanted winds from all directions,
Guiding me through the unknown as my past breezed on by,
Completely disregarded.

Wandering after the storm, dressed in my flesh and only my flesh
In a Garden flourished with green, towered by trees thick with vibrant leaves
A blossoming Garden crowded extravagantly with blossoms
In which only the precious Flora could create
Such magnificence—
The innocence of Baby’s Breath,
A million stars
Lilies of the Valley,
Tiny umbrellas scattered here and there
And the sweet fragrance of Eglantines
Intertwined with white Lilacs reaching to the cerulean blue skies

Searching for my missing part
And there she stood
As bare and smooth as my flesh covered my insides
Caramel on caramel
Breasts exposed, areolas hard, nipples erect
A voluptuous figure before me
Tempted by that forbidden fruit—her plum,
As she tasted my nectarine

Oh, sweet delicious Love!
Running down my lips, swirling around my tongue, and drizzling from my chin!
I shall never thirst again!

Here, I am born again bare naked by the riverbank
The sparkling stream washes over my soul like some sort of baptism
My heart is so alive!
Pumping new life into my extremities
You have given me completeness and purpose
I live and breathe for you!

Oh, faithful never-straying Love!
Fingers forever entangled as we walk through this beautiful captivating Garden
My heart forever embedded, beating rhythmically inside your chest
Synchronizing with your lovely melodic symphony!

Oh, divine Love!
You have given me heaven!

Author's Comments

This poem is by :iconyuniku:

Okay, so I'm extra nervous about this piece. I spent SO MUCH time touching it up to make it as close to perfect as I could. But quite frankly, I just think I need to submit it and have others look at it. So please comment with any lingering thoughts, questions, and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism or INSIGHTFUL complements.

Thank you so much,

Luecretia
